Noise & Air Quality Studies

  • CR 470/48 PD&E Study (Lake County, Florida). Noise & Air Quality Studies. Responsible for noise monitoring, computer verification of measured traffic noise levels, using TNM to predict existing and future traffic noise levels, air quality screening test, and preparation of the Noise Study and Air Quality Reports.
  • SR 84 PD&E Study (Collier County, Florida). Noise & Air Quality Studies, wildlife and habitat impact analysis, endangered species biological assessment, and water quality impact analysis.
  • Minneola Interchange at Florida’s Turnpike PD&E Study (Lake County, Florida). Conducted Noise and Air Quality Studies for a new interchange at Florida’s Turnpike. Identified noise sensitive sites, developed the noise study methodology, conducted noise monitoring, validated noise model using TNM, collected roadway and traffic data, modeled existing & future noise contours, conducted air quality screening test to determine potential impacts, and prepared Technical Memorandums.
  • Sonic Restaurant Noise Level Study (Ocala, Marion County, Florida). Conducted site review to collect existing data from the proposed Sonic site, adjacent residential site, existing Sonic site, and similar fast-food drive-through restaurants. Conducted noise level monitoring to comparison each site with new proposed site. Results were presented to the City of Ocala supporting a petition for variance.
  • Homestead Extension of the Florida’s Turnpike Widening PD&E Study (Miami-Dade/Broward Counties, Florida). Noise Consultant responsible for the noise study. Conducted site reviews to determine existing site conditions and potential noise sensitive sites, conducted noise monitoring, validated noise model using TNM, modeled noise for existing and future noise levels, conducted barrier analysis, and prepared Noise Study Report and noise section of the SEIR.
  • APAC Kissimmee Plant Noise Study (Osceola County Florida). Noise Consultant responsible for the study of sound levels within and outside of the asphalt plant. Prepared the noise study report and successfully obtained a noise variance. Monitoring continued for the first year of extended operation.
  • Old Town Noise Study and Noise Ordinance Variance (Osceola County, Florida). Noise Consultant for the evaluation of existing noise environment and determining potential noise impacts to adjacent noise sensitive areas with respect to the County Noise Ordinance for justification of the request for a variance to the noise ordinance.
  • SR 82 PD&E Reevaluation (Lee County, Florida). Noise & Air Quality Studies. Responsible for the preliminary modeling to determine noise contours and potential noise impacts, noise monitoring, model validation of TNM, traffic and road data collection, TNM modeling, and air quality screening test.
  • SR 5 PD&E Noise Study (Brevard County, Florida). Identified all potential noise sensitive sites within the corridor, monitored existing noise levels, validated noise model, determined noise contours, ran TNM model, prepared the Noise Study Report, and incorporated the FDOT and FHWA's comments into the Final NSR.
